Honestly what does gift-giving have to do with celebrating the birth of Christ. For that matter, who started the celebration of Christmas in the first place. If it was the Roman Catholics, WOW. And the whole world follows after a tradition started by Roman Catholics. WOW.

I'm not trying to sound like scrooge. I'm just questioning the origin of Christmas. I mean you can't even find the word 'Christmas' in the Bible. And when Jesus died and resurrected into heaven, he said "Go and make disciples". The only continual remembrance of Him is to have communion, remembering that He shed his own blood for us, so we could be reconciled back to God. He didn't say remember my birth every year. So, maybe we've got it all wrong. I mean when he was born, yes his birth was supernatural. But he wasn't anointed until his 30th birthday. Although we know near his 12th birthday he had the knowledge of God.

The good news doesn't stop with His Birth. It only begins with His Birth. So, I'm believing, we're really celebrating a pagan tradition, from a man-made religion.

Reading through the book of Ephesians this week/month?

Ephesians 2:16 mentions ...Jew and Gentile, united in a single body by means of His cross, thereby killing the mutual enmity and bringing the feud to an end.

Jesus died for all who would believe, not just the Jew.

Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were (so) far away, through (by, in) the blood of Christ have been brought near.

The death and resurrection of Jesus brought us back to God, reconciled us back to God, because we had been so far away, not serving God.

Eph 2:22 In Him (and in fellowship with one another) you yourselves also are being built up (into this structure) with the rest, to form a fixed abode (dwelling place) of God in (by, through) the Spirit.

We, as we mature are building up a dwelling place for God's Holy Spirit.

My Dad

I've realized they don't make them anymore like my dad. Even though he messed up a few times, he was always there for us, always made sure we had a roof over our heads, food to eat, clothes to wear. My dad, received honor because he lived The Word. He didn't much talk The Word, but his life was The Word.

He never cursed around his girls, never drank or showed vulgar movies to his daughters. That is so important now that I have girls myself. My son, it was important, but not in the same way. You just don't want your baby girls having any curse words come out of their mouths.

I recently changed churches, mainly because I needed to hear The Word every Sunday, not just talk ABOUT The Word. And I wanted to go to real Bible Studies, not just ones which promoted the pastor's newest book. That's why I've gone back to Crenshaw Christian Center. Apostle Price and his son Pastor Price will always preach The Word. You may be looking up scripture for 30 minutes during service, but at least you read and hear the Word directly from the Bible. I love their church.

I also realize, Apostle Price (the dad) is not getting any younger, and I want to hear The Word from someone who has studied it thoroughly. Even though he has many books out now, and his son and wife also have books and cd's which rank high on my list. Apostle Price is part of that legacy of parents that grew up in Los Angeles during the 40's and 50's. The parents who were "the first" Blacks to attain notoriety in the second largest city in the U.S.

I was one of the ones that stood in line in the 70's, when his church was on Crenshaw Blvd. I wasn't SAVED then, but I was in the 80's, after hearing a Pastor Ingram at the Shrine Auditorium. I remember asking, "do I have to speak in tongues?" "I believe in Jesus, and want to proclaim him as my Lord and Savior, but do I have to sound like them?" Little did I know, what tongues were. Once I found out, I was spending my every waking hour trying to get it. I didn't speak in tongues until I started digging into the Word , went to Bible College, under Pastor Willoughby, in Ontario, Ca. and asked God for this gift, which I only had to receive. But with it, came the power for me to live my life the way I wanted to live it.

All of Apostle Price's sermons never fell on deaf ear. The Holy Spirit brought to remembrance plenty of his Words as the years went by. Then as I got into the Word myself, I was having Ah Hah moments daily. Apostle Price, I honor you, and love the fact that your son, is a Bible preaching pastor like you were.

Just came out, May 10, 2010. Gloria Copeland putting in book form all the nuggets she had given to us in a 6-CD set in 2004. This subject never gets old, and at this time in this world situation. How much more we need to know how to Live Long, and Finish Strong our Christian lives.

Did you know that the "70 year" lifespan was given to the Hebrews which were with Moses when they came out of Egypt, and stuck in the wilderness. This is not for us. Christians can choose to live 120 years or more, walking in the ways of the Lord.

On my road to finding out just who I am, who my ancestors were. I am being taken from Louisiana, Arkansas, and Canada/Detroit, to Los Angeles, California. The church my grandparents and parents help to build. The many people touched by that church and my family. The many cousins I have throughout this entire nation, most I've never met. Slaves and missionaires both in my family. In the 20's one made liquor in their tub and sold it to keep food on the table. God was with them thru all their days. My grandmother coming to Los Angeles as the mother to her 4 sisters, we knew as Bea, Neola, Maude and Nona. She was known as Tat. They all went to and graduated from Manuel Arts High School, under her supervision.

California's history, I am now on. How did, Why did, they end up here. Why did they leave their homes in the south and in the north. Where are their marriage records? Their birth records? Finding records of their birth denoted only as their first names or boy, girl. Probably given their last names from the last name of their family slaveowners. There's pain, knowing I may never know, their real African name. But beauty is in the fact that I knew them. And they have given me such a legacy to live up to.

Reading Gloria Copeland's "Master Plan for Your Life. This book is such a blessing. God, how do we get more people to read Your Word. I thoroughly believe in tithing now. She gave me one more testimony on tithing and following God's plan for your life. The fact that you can't have faith without The Word.
Creflo's fact that the mystery = the plans, substitute the word 'plan' every where you see the word 'mystery' in the New Testament. God's hiding the mystery for you (those who reverently fear Him) not those that act like swine or fools and say there is no God, or that Jesus was just a prophet, not the Son of God.

I tell people Jesus is The Word, then they say, "there's too many contradictions in The Bible, that's why we don't believe it's God's Word." Well the reason you don't believe it's God's Word is the same reason you're not saved. Believe Jesus is the Son of God and God will reveal to you that Jesus is The Word manifested for us who believe.

Doesn't matter if Catholics had some secret society way back when to translate The Bible the way they saw fit. What matters is the fact that Truth will always prevail. Always. God said he'd write the Truth into our hearts so we would 'KNOW' the Truth even before we read it. He has written it into our hearts. God bless. 2Cor 3:3 For as much as you are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the Living God; in fleshly tables of the heart. But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel! After three days, says the Lord, I will put My Law within them, and on their hearts will I write it; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.

God's continually telling me to look up my genealogy. So I've embarked on that journey. He's showed me how Atlanta, Ga is so wealthy because people there know their roots. And people in Los Angeles, Ca. need do the same. I started this search many years ago, but now I have more resources. God's shown me the genealogies in the Bible (Matthew 1, 1Chronicles 1-9). He's also shown me that Jesus didn't have any children, so after his birth, there was no need to keep track of genealogies. Which is why you don't see any after his birth. They all lead up to and end with Jesus. Are you born again or not?

Why are there so many Americans with the same last names in your same neighborhoods but you don't know them?

My maiden name was French. I heard on my favorite program, Billye Brim talking about George Washington Carver, and how the only book he ever took into his lab was The Bible. So this inspired me to read up on him. He got his last name from his owner, he was a slave. His owner's last name was Carver, hence George Washington Carver. He was born a slave, his parents were kidnapped and sold to another man. But their original owners found George and his brother and decided to raise them as their own. The men never bothered to go after the mother and father? This man was given the name George Washington Carver, it wasn't his birth name. Someone bore him 9 months and brought him into this world. Don't you think that person had a right to name their own child.

Anyway, God had a plan for his life and he found out what it was. Are there any other "Civilized" nations in this world that did the atrocities that Americans did to Blacks. Man in the Bible did not have last names, why do we? Is Queen Elizabeth known as Elizabeth ?, does she have a last name? When did Americans start using last names? And Why?

Dirty Little Secrets About Black History, It's Heroes, and Other Troublemakers, by Claud Anderson, Ed.D.

Love this book. It really opened my eyes as to why slavery, why Black people are never in the news, except in a Black newspaper, where were the Jewish people during slavery. Where were the Indian? Why the Hispanics think they're white, because they're the ones that started slavery. The fact that slavery was started as an economic issue, and still continues as an economic issue. How the ruling class continues to block opportunites for all except themselves (selfish). Block opportunites meaning create an orchestrated effort to not hire Blacks, not recognize Blacks when they achieve anything making it look like there is no way a Black man could have done that. Just recently a white man went balistic and killed 13 people on a Army base. There was a Black man and White woman both who shot at and killed the man shooting. Who was recognized, the White woman.

Listen, in 1996, the civil rights law became more concerned with Gay rights and Women's rights, cutting out COLOR as a characteristic of a minority. No one wants to recognize or fess up to the fact that for over 400 years White America has done plenty wrong to the Black man and woman, and needs to fess up and correct its wrongs. What is the percentage of Black to White families that have no jobs, have no food on their tables, are homeless or living in rented homes as opposed to owning their own homes. In proportion to our percentage in the U.S, I would believe that percentage to be much higher than what it is for whites.

What's up with all these questions on employment applications now as to how you would react, are you Hispanic or Non-Hispanic, what ethnicity are you. Please Lord, when will they get it. All of these classifications are man-made. All religion is man-made. When will they, all people realize that God made all man to be the image of him. And all men and woman have unique DNA. We are not all the same color, we are not all from the same place, we do not all talk the same language. God made it that way. Do you think Heaven will be just white people. What if God is Chinese? It says he;s Asian. We have gone so far as denoting Asians are only those with Oriental characteristics, when in reality the continent of Asia encompasses all of Russia, and Israel as well.

Israeli people need to wake up and see what their people are doing in the U.S. You are Gods' children. He will never turn his back on you. But he will hold you accountable for what you do, as He has always done. You are the special 144,000. The reason the world won't help you, is because you are Asian, not European, but in America you're White color, so you can pass as European but only for so long. How does the old saying go, "You can take the boy out of the country, but not the country out of the boy."

Back to slavery, the white man always used God to control Blacks. There's a scripture about you can control a horse by a bit in it's mouth, or you can control yourself by how you control your tongue, or you can see a ocean liner being towed by a small tugboat.You don't need to be big to control a big mass of anything. You just need to have the right touch. The Black man has his roots so engrained in the Bible, I always question how present day Blacks can think and stand on this opinion that the Bible is nothing but a book a codes (the DaVinci code). One man or one group of men could not have thought up all the stories in the Bible if they tried. The Bible is God inspired. But it message is hidden for God's children, God's Saved Ones.

Mr. Thompson says, "God is trying to tell you through many witnesses in his word that he wants you to be in a position where you can be blessed and be a blessing. "He who did not withhold or spare [even] His own Son but gave Him up for us all, will He not also with Him freely and graciously give us all [other] things?" Give God permission to bless us by believing and obeying Him. You have to be hungry for the things of
God, and you have to be willing to pay the price to walk in the blessings of God. "God didn't tell us only Job's spiritual qualities. Through Job's story He is saying to us. "I am the God of abundance. And you are the heirs of abundance! Do not let this world system hold you from My Word system. Work the Word and come out of your situation, and give Me the glory for being a good Father." " Galatians 3:14 says, To the end that through [their receiving] Christ Jesus, the blessing [promised] to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might [all] receive [the realization of] the promise of the [Holy] Spirit. You have to believe in the blessings of God and learn to walk by faith to obtain them for yourself.
Thompson says, "Church, you are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. You have a heritage of prosperity that you must walk in. Will you do it? Will you seek the Lord through His Word and take your rightful place, honoring the Lord and your heritage of prosperity that He has provided? If you will make the decision to be a receiving heir, the revelation of your glorious heritage and your "Money cometh" will become a living reality in your life, and not just you, but many will be blessed!"
All you have to do to walk in the blessing of God is to claim them by faith and then continue in faith, walking uprightly and according to the Word.

You Need Wealth To Get the Covenant Established In Your Life

Continuing with Leroy Thompson Sr's book, Money Cometh to the Body of Christ, in the chapter, What is God's Kind of Prosperity, he talks about 2 kinds of prosperity, and 1 Timothy 6:3-10 vs Deuteronomy 8:18.

In 1 Timothy 6, he says, Paul is talking about the covetous person, not the covenant person. Whereas the covetous person would do "anything" to get money, and then once they got it would spend it lavishly on things that help him/her to sin more, the covenant person knows what to do with money. Because of Deuteronomy 8:18, the covenant person would know that we are to use money, not people, we are to use money to bless people, we are to use money to see the gospel preached, to see people saved from the devil's hand and brought into God's kingdom.

1 Timothy 6:17 But [trust] in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy! What does richly mean? Well, for one, it means plentifully. why does He give "all things" plentifully to us? To Enjoy! You too can enjoy, when you don't trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God.

Romans 12:3, Paul says," For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith." Paul was saying "If you think correctly and walk by faith, you won't think more highly of yourself than you ought to think." Why? Because everything we get from God, we get by faith.

WOW. True and uncomfortable. EVERYTHING WE GET FROM GOD, WE GET BY FAITH. So, it's a faith walk. The way you develop your faith walk, is feed your spirit with more Word, from the Bible (Jesus himself). There is NO Way around it. John14:6 there's no way to the Father except by me.

A Believers thoughts on "Money Cometh!" Pt 3

Let's start off with a quote from the last paragraph from this chapter. .."Your confession and your giving to God are your faith in action. So give. then say out loud: "Satan, take your hands off my finances. I'm not going to cooperate with you. Prosperity is mine, and I'm going to receive what's mine in the Name of Jesus. Money cometh to me!""

This chapter is entitled "What Causes Money Not to Come?" Dr Thompson talks about the things we do which will cause money not to come. They are: 1) Not Tithing(the 10%) 2) Small Thinking 3)Listening to False Prophets 4) Impatience 5)Overspending on Credit 6)Making Excuses 7) Disobedience 8)Dishonesty 9)Not having a giving attitude 10)Not Giving Offerings

Tithing is God's system. If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good of the land. Isaiah 1:19 You can't be "willing and obedient" and "broke", they just don't go together.
Our tithing scripture in Malachi 3 starts in verse 7 with Return to me and do what I tell you to do, and I'm gonna return to you and make you like Abraham. Ye are cursed with a curse for you have robbed me, even this whole nation. I re-visited that verse and got this vision of why the church is not as powerful in California as it should be. Even this whole nation(California) we haven't been paying our tithes, so now the church doesn't have the money to do what God wants it to do, and we have to depend upon other states to bail us out.
But Guess What, Ain't nobody gonna bail us out. We have to find a way ourselves.
God wants you to say, Money Cometh to me! and then do what he told you to do in His Word so He can make it start coming to you.

God is a Big God. "Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think[infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams]-To Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen(so be it)." Ephesians 3:20-21(Amp) Above what? Above your paycheck for one!

Money cometh into your life so that God can use you as a reservoir and an agent to get His Word out and to bless you real good at the same time. Psalm 35:27

God can't bless disobedience. Proverbs 13:22 says, The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just (the informed just). Say, Lord, I want what is mine, so I'm giving you what is yours - tithes and offerings. Your prayers are cheap, without your obedience to The Word concerning tithes and offerings.

Shocking health insurance statistics http://bit.ly/u5hMA. But does this really mean we need subsidized health care? Does FREE health insurance guarantee you'll receive quality health care.
I have heard so many horror stories of different health providers, that supposedly are offering quality health care. Mr President have you looked at quality healthcare or are you just looking at the cheapest. There are so many drugs or procedures in this world that MediCal/Medicaid won't cover, because they are too expensive, what happens to the people that need them? They can't afford to pay for them, neither can MediCal/Medicaid. Why? If there are no alternatives, what are they to do? Die! I thought we were a compassionate country. Is it just to other countries and not our own. Why are eyeglasses so expensive? Why is medicine so expensive? The average person in America wants to pay for their health care and their basic needs, but the cost of everything is going so high, they can't afford it. This is why people turn to MediCal/Medicaid. In reality, many people would love to pay something toward their health care, but can't pay all of their income toward it. Years ago we set a percentage as to how much of our income should go to housing and other basic needs. Was Health Care given a percentage? Housing was 30%, Shouldn't health care be around 5%?

Then I stopped myself to think on why I was saying But, God and I recalled what I believe and know about my God. My God is a personal God. He's My God. I'm a believer and I believe if I have the faith of a mustard seed, I can move a mountain. My faith is not my denomination. My faith is my action on my belief. My faith is what I do now to see results then.

My Bible is full of seed. Seed I can use to plant and grow to get the result I want. But I have to be God's child in order to be a part and have access to His Kingdom. It's my decision. do I want to be filthy rich or rich and walk down the streets paved in gold.

It's cool when people say I have all these degrees behind my name. I married a white woman, I go to the best doctor, I sit in the front pew of Rev so and so's church. But, God said, "I have chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise. " 1 cor 1:27. He's bringing up someone no one ever thought would amount to anything. But, God said look at the back of the book, we win. But, God said "For I did not give you a spirit of fear, but one of love, power and a sound mind. " 2 tim 1:7 So if you're not walking in love, power and a sound mind, the devil's got your back, not God.

We have a money covenant with God. If we aren't prosperous, but broke and living in poverty we are sinning. We owe it to God to be prosperous. When we are not, we are being rebellious. Dr Thompson says, Since walking in prosperity is the will of God, then every Christian who is living from paycheck to paycheck, barely getting by, is not living in the will of God.

Open a Savings Account, for you will need a place to put the money God puts in your hand.
Some Christians say, "Well, we're going to be raptured; we're not going to be here all of our lives, so we don't need to save any money." That's foolish! Put some money up in savings! Then if the Lord sends you to get some money out to give to a worthy cause, you'll be glad you did. If you had $75,000 in the bank, you could go to the bank and say, "Give me $5,000," and then give it to the Lord's work. That's how God wants to use you.

Debt, Debt and more Debt

Government's in Debt. We're in Debt. Companies are in Debt. What is all this debt? Isn't the government for the people, by the people and of the people? When they say the GNP, isn't that an account of all businesses in this country? I know there were people who went thru the great depression, who saved money for a rainy day. Well has the rainy day come? Have we used our rainy day fund and now what? What happened to all the money that was saved up over the last 20-30 years. Or was that what "Just In Time Production" was all about? You only produce what you will need in the next 3 months. Manufacturing models become the norm in society?

I am a born-again believer, not of a particular denomination, but whatever the Bible says is what I go by. So, I look to the Bible first before I make any major decisions. No, any decision.

My hardest part of becoming prosperous was seeing myself wealthy. Me, I finished college with a BS in Math. I had good beginnings. My dad was prosperous. He believed in tithing, and regular church attendance. I just thought I was special, because very few kids in my classes, when I was growing up, had their fathers in their life. His parents were prosperous, believed in God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, and helped start a church in Los Angeles. There were many other prosperous African-American parents who were doctors and lawyers, professionals. How could my dad, a car salesman be prosperous without a college education or a trade? Because he was a tither, and he knew God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit? I think so. I've been reading the book, Money Cometh! To the Body of Christ, by Dr. Leroy Thompson, Sr and according to Dr. Thompson, tithing and giving to the Gospel is God's Way of getting money to you.

Isaiah 55:1 says Wait and listen, everyone who is thirsty! Come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! Yes, come, buy [priceless, spiritual] wine and milk without money and without price [simply for the self-surrender that accepts the blessing]. How can you buy without money? Here you are buying a priceless commodity when you accept Jesus as your Savior. When Jesus died, on the cross all of our sins were laid upon him, he was sin-less. He paid the price for all of us with His Death.

God created us. God is always with us. All of the names of God give you the characteristics of God. Wasn't it Jesus, who fed 5000 men with 5 fish and 2 loaves of bread? How did he do that? So many gurus don't have the slightest idea how? God sent Jesus to this earth so we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly. Double words again, it's not enough for you to have an abundance, God wants you to have more abundance. WE SERVE A BIG GOD.

My pastor, yesterday was talking of Lordship, and this ties in where you have to make Jesus Lord over your life, not just Saviour, in order to be under His umbrella. God is Good.
